March 1 - A US Airways Express flight was forced to abort its landing at Philadelphia International Airport after ground controllers spotted a civilian Jeep Cherokee moving at a high rate of speed down one runway. Airport authorities intercepted the vehicle after a brief chase and arrested the intoxicated driver. March 1 - All five aboard a Cessna 750 Citation X were killed after crashing into a wooded area on approach to Frankfurt Egelsbach Airport in Germany. Heavy fog was reported in the area at the time of the crash.
February 29 - All three aboard a Cirrus SR22 were killed after crashing at Melbourne International Airport in Florida. Air traffic control transcripts indicate the pilot may have initiated an evasive turn at low speed to avoid an aircraft that was performing touch-and-goes on the same runway.
February 28 - A U.S. Coast Guard MH-65C helicopter crashed in Mobile Bay off Point Clear, Alabama, killing one and leaving three missing. The aircraft was on a training flight at the time of the crash.
February 27 - No injuries were reported after a Shuttle America ERJ-170 operating on behalf of United Express made a nosegear-up landing at Newark Liberty International Airport in New Jersey. Airport personnel had prepared for the emergency landing by spraying the runway with flame retardant foam.
February 26 - Both aboard a single-engine plane were killed after crashing on takeoff from Stinson Municipal Airport near San Antonio, Texas.
February 25 - All three aboard a Beechcraft Bonanza were injured after crashing on takeoff from an airstrip east of Reno, Nevada.
February 24 - Boaters discovered the wreckage of a single engine plane with two bodies aboard in the ocean off of Key West, Florida. Authorities were trying to determine the date and origin of the flight at post time.
February 23 - The pilot of a Beechcraft Baron received minor injuries after crash-landing on an elementary school playground near Houston, Texas. The pilot was on approach to West Houston Airport when the aircraft lost power. No injuries were reported on the ground.
February 22 - A Continental Airlines flight returned to Portland International Airport after a passenger of Middle Eastern descent reportedly argued with a flight attendant about putting out his electronic cigarette and then began singing about his hatred for women and love for Osama bin Laden and Allah. The reveler was turned over to the FBI in Portland.
